About Us

Here we are!

We’re Erin and Ryan, two twenty-somethings from California itching to travel the world! Or at least some of our favorite corners of it, which right now all happen to be Taiwan.

In 2017, we spent a summer working at a jujube farm in Miaoli County, Taiwan and making lots of friends while we were at it. We promised those friends we would be back someday soon, and much to our surprise, the opportunity to keep our promise arose sooner than we ever expected! Two years and two acceptance letters later, we were making plans to head back, this time as students at National Taiwan Normal University’s Mandarin Training Center. Erin (that’s me!) was also recruited to write about the town of Toucheng for a local travel organization and cover the upcoming Toucheng Art Festival.

So for the next six months, the two of us will be learning the language, meeting new friends, and making a home for ourselves in Taiwan. Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s get started!

You can read more about us and our past adventures in Taiwan at our previous blog, Unfarmgettable Adventures. Erin also has a website, where you can read more of her work.
