A journey of 7,000 miles begins with a single blog

Hi all! It’s been a while, but Ryan and I are back for yet another adventure!

Many of you were following along during our last trip to Taiwan back in 2017, where we spent a month farming in Miaoli County, meeting incredible people and learning lots along the way. You can catch up on that adventure here if you’re interested.

This time around, we’ve got a little more in store!

For the next six months, the two of us have been given the incredible opportunity to study Mandarin at National Taiwan Normal University and help out with the Toucheng Art Festival in Yilan County. We’ve been here a week now and we’ve already done so much and met so many new people! Toucheng is beautiful, our hosts are wonderful, and our classes will be gearing up before we know it. Everything seems to be moving so fast!

We’ve been so busy getting settled in and acclimated that this post is a bit late coming, but for the rest of the year we’ll be updating this blog regularly with our latest adventures. Check back soon for more on what we’ve been up to and what the next six months have in store for us.

We can’t wait to share our adventure with you!
